The New Antiquarians: At Home with Young Collectors — A Q&A and book signing with Michael Diaz-Griffith

Presented by Doyle Auctioneers and Appraisers

Doyle Auctioneers and Appraisers, 236 Clarendon St, Boston, MA 02116

FREE - RSVP https://tinyurl.com/DoyleDesignWeek

Join author Michael Diaz-Griffith and design journalist Kyle Hoepner for a free-wheeling discussion of Diaz-Griffith’s recent book, The New Antiquarians: At Home with Young Collectors, which highlights a new generation of collectors who exemplify unorthodox approaches to looking at, and living with, the material culture of the past—and in the process are revitalizing the once-rarefied world of antiques. Copies of The New Antiquarians will be available for purchase and signing following the talk.

Michael Diaz-Griffith is an art historian, designer, and executive director of the Design Leadership Network, a national membership organization supporting community, education, and best practices in the design industry. Prior to joining the DLN, Diaz-Griffith served as executive director of Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation and as associate executive director of The Winter Show, America’s most prestigious and longest-running art and antiques fair. As a consultant, he has advised fairs, auction houses, galleries, and museums on strategy, creative direction, and business development, and he was recently named to House Beautiful’s list of “Visionaries” for his advocacy of antiques, historic art, and preservation.
