Join Beyond Walls and project partners, Payette and Bench Consulting (by Patronicity) for a virtual event that explores how Beyond Walls- a non-profit placemaking organization that activates spaces to strengthen communities- pivoted during the COVID-19 pandemic to elevate necessary services and support public health and local businesses. Learn how cities and organizations like Beyond Walls are working to improve where we live, work, and play, and how initiatives are evolving to address future community needs.
Last year, Beyond Walls (a non-profit placemaking organization that uses a creative lens to address community needs) pivoted from their planned annual programming to respond and support the community and youth of Lynn in real-time. To address the pandemic’s toll on their community, Beyond Walls and Payette partnered to develop and produce free-standing hand washing stations, as well as easy-to-install barrier systems to facilitate outdoor dining. This event will explore the ways communities and organizations can continue to reclaim public space during stay-at-home orders. Beyond Walls’ Founder and CEO, Al Wilson, is joined by Parke MacDowell- Senior Associate & Fabrication Manager at Payette, and Jonathan Berk- Bench Consulting’s Creative Director.
