While the Gibson House is a space firmly rooted in Boston, it draws upon the cultural and economic influence of many other places, including the Caribbean, Europe, and East Asia. In this tour, led by Curator Meghan Gelardi Holmes, we will consider the nineteenth-century context of the museum's artwork and decorative objects, as well as how we might view and understand them differently today.
*Tour lasts 45 minutes and will go up and down three flights of stairs.
