LIGHT Boston helps our City respond to the rapidly evolving second shift economy. We are the trusted non-profit and non-partisan partner organization for civic illumination. We advocate. We educate. We illuminate.
Our panel will provide an enlightening overview of our accomplishments over the past 20 years. LIGHT Boston's Diamond Necklace Project, Phase One, 2001- 2021. This project was planned for lighting the top 25 Cultural and Historic Sites in Downtown Boston. Originally funded largely by Boston’s Landmark Commission, the Boston Foundation, the Massachusetts Port Authority and the Boston Cultural Council, this original document has been a guide, filled with many trials, successes, and challenges that we will discuss.
Our goal is to inspire owners to bring their building or bridge into light, using proper techniques with modern lighting equipment. The future is bright as we look to 2030, the 400th anniversary of Boston’s founding.
Are you passionate about creating safe and inviting nighttime spaces for people in your community?
Are you interested in being involved Boston’s neighborhood vision?
