Climate change is here. Our outdoor spaces -- backyards to schoolyards, parks to forests to watersheds -- have vital roles to play in mitigation and adaptation. Please join us for the second annual virtual, regional summit to discuss climate action through landscape architecture & design in New England. We’ll hear about climate issues that cities and towns, rural and suburban areas are experiencing in the landscape today, along with actions underway, and that need to grow. Keynotes and “lightning talks” will share a lively array of projects, and we’ll discuss measuring impact; a vital design consideration as we look ahead. Read more...

First Friday: The artist studios at 450 Harrison Avenue are open to the public from 5 - 9pm! See the artists in their element, browse the historic building, and find inspiration around every corner. Meander down the pedestrian-only Thayer Street and discover retail shops, and art galleries. Keep following the brick sidewalk toward Albany Street to 460 Harrison Avenue, and discover even more galleries - all open to the public.

View architecture highlights with accompanying artworks on this tour of the List Center’s public art collection of renowned contemporary artists featuring I.M. Pei, Sol LeWitt, Frank Gehry, and newly installed works by Alicja Kwade, Agnieszka Kurant and more. MIT’s Percent-for-Art Program, administered by the List Visual Arts Center, now allocates up to $500,000 to commission art for each new major renovation or campus construction project. Read more...
