Restoring an older home or property requires extreme attention to detail. From repairing period installed finishes including natural woodwork and lead glass windows, to completely upgrading lighting, HVAC and mechanical systems, there is a lot to consider when undertaking a project of this size, scope and significance. The design/build team at Roma & York has made it their mission to manage the special requirements that historical renovations deserve.

Join owners Joseph and Ketylina De Renzis as they share their project management story behind the recent renovation of  “LOCKSLEA” a rare Jacobethan classic in Brookline’s Fisher Hill neighborhood, designed originally by renowned Chapman and Frazer Architects. Featured in House Beautiful magazine back in 1917, it was completely renovated and updated in 2019 by the Roma & York team to create a beautiful, welcoming and more energy efficient home for its new owners, while providing renewed curb appeal for its stately suburban neighborhood. Period inspired lighting fixtures from Lucia Lighting were used throughout, and guests will learn how these selections were made.

Bring your renovation questions – especially HVAC questions – and enjoy discovering what’s trending in traditionally inspired lighting from guest presenter, Lucy Dearborn of Lucia Lighting. Refreshments will be served.
