Join representatives from Boston’s Cultural Districts - Fenway Cultural District, Latin Quarter in Jamaica Plain, Roxbury Cultural District, and Little Saigon in Dorchester - for a panel discussion about the creation and goals for the Districts. Moderated by the Mayor’s Office of Art & Culture and hosted in the newly-reopened Huntington Theatre, this panel is presented by the Fenway Alliance, managers of Boston’s first Cultural District to be designated by the Mass Cultural Council.
The Huntington Theatre—a Fenway Alliance member institution—collaborates with world-class theater artists to create exciting new and reimagined productions.
Cultural districts are popular areas of a city that have both cultural facilities and programs. These districts help strengthen local economies and add to local culture. Each cultural district offers unique opportunities to engage with the work of artists, creatives, and small businesses. The discussion will focus on the design and approach of each cultural district and the ways that they contribute to the larger arts & cultural ecosystem.
